16 March 2024

Every anime and movie we watch has some life lessons that the author is trying to convey, and it's up to us how we can see through them. Here, I will talk about the life lessons we can learn from the anime and how we can apply them in our lives for self-improvement. There are many famous life lessons in anime like Naruto, One Piece, etc., but I want to point out some of the hidden gems for this topic.

1. BARAKAMON

Seishuu handa a 23- year old calligrapher who has the personality of a raging bear , he punched a famous calligrapher and as a punishment Handa was exiled to a small town , but little does he knows that his Point of view for living life will completely going to change from that moment onward , As he got to know about the living in a small town far from the big city and their stressful life he realised the importance of Living in nature and understand the kindness of others also Barakamon pints out that sometime we need to take a break from our busy life to realise that how beautiful this life is and how great of a people are living around us wee often neglect the fact that we are living in a life where so many things are mysteries it could be anything around us its just we are so focused in living our life same way like yesterday rather than thinking that everyday is an opportunity to explore something new to learn something new, this anime taught so many life lessons that we can apply in our life one of my favourite is that do not be afraid of change sometimes changes open new paths in our life and always be prepare for the uncertainty and remember o matter where you are in this world do not forget that you are not alone there is always someone somewhere waiting to help you when you get stuck in your life.

2. BLUE PERIOD

Blue period is one those anime where most the people can relate with this anime , The story is about the boy named Yatora Yaguchi who is a normal high school boy who is good in studies and have friends nut in reality he does not enjoy any of that, he is trying to search for a passion which lights up his heart and ends up falling in love with the drawing and painting as Yatora become fascinated with the colours he joins the art classes and then he finds himself so indulge in art that he decides this is what he wants to do for the rest of his life , Blue period teaches us that never stop searching for your passion as everyone is living in a different time zone and If you are willing to give your best for something, then nothing in this world you cannot learn that constant desire to improve yourself and be the best version of yourself is the biggest life lesson we can learn from the blue.

3. SILENT VOICE

Human relations and understanding other people is one of the most complex parts of our lives because, as human beings, we have the tendency to assume scenarios when we don't know the exact answer, so we assume the answer around the ideals rather than considering the other person's actual intention, and this scenario is clearly depicted in The anime movie Silent Voice Two elementary school kids named Shoko Nishmiya and Shoya Ishida used to bully Nisimiya and mistreat her in front of other kids, even though she never did any harm to him. Later in the story, Ishida found himself in the same position as Nisimiya since he used to be bullied by his former friends. As the story continues, he realises how Nishimiya must have felt when he used to bully her, so he decides that he can atone for his sins by apologising to Nisimiya and asking for her forgiveness. silent voice teaches so many life lessons, like being kind to others regardless of the reason. remember that the poison you can create in yourself is by holding grudges against others and learning to forgive others. Even though it's hard to do sometimes but forgiving someone is the bravest thing you can do in your whole life. Also, it's never too late to apologise for the mistake. No matter how many days have passed, apologising doesn't make you weak.

4. MARCH COMES IN LIKE A LION

What would you name the situation when your own family does not support you but you find a new family with people who are not related to you by blood? That’s what March comes in like Lion is about.

This story is about a 17-year-old professional shogi player, Rei, who lives by himself, and his acquaintance is a family consisting of three members. As the story continues, Rei realises that playing shogi with other people tells so much about the other person and how we can understand others just by playing a small game like shogi. Lessons we can learn from March come in like a lion: do not stop until you reach your goal. As Rei said, ‘Becoming a pro is like jumping onto a moving train that does not stop. You can never get off, not until you lose and fall off.

5. VINLAND SAGA

'I have no enemies' You all must have heard this quote at least once on social media since it was so trending recently. You get it right; this quote is from the Anime Vinland saga. The story of the Vinland Saga starts with a boy named Thorfinn, who is on a path to take revenge from the Askeladd. The person who killed his father. His ideal is that he wants to defeat him in a proper duel. The rage inside him only wants revenge. As he moves forward in his journey, he realises, “What is the purpose of his life?” since he was only fixated on taking revenge with the Askeladd and forgot what he was going to do after achieving his purpose. Later, he realises that this world is filled with hatred and a feeling of vegence. So he decides he wants to create a land far across the ocean where no wars take place. The lessons we can learn from the Vinland Saga are that no matter what situation comes up in your life, whether good or bad, you must never lose sight of yourself in the journey because, as time passes, you will eventually change. What you are today is not what you are going to be a year later, so a small part of you should always cherish the old you. And always have a stoic mindset.
